A pleasure to be of help!

Asilah – 5 February 2026
Emergency Support for Flood-Affected Families in Northern Morocco.
The Strait of Gibraltar Association Trust made an emergency donation of £1,000 (12,000 MAD) on Wednesday, 4 February, to support families displaced by the recent floods affecting Ksar El Kebir and surrounding areas.
The donation is helping provide essential relief items such as food, blankets, hygiene products, and basic necessities to displaced families and the facilities hosting them, particularly in Asilah.
We extend our sincere thanks to our trustee Mr. Kevin Parody (Salsa), who is currently on the ground working closely with local authorities, charities, and civil society organizations to ensure that aid reaches those most in need. Thanks to these efforts, blankets, pyjamas, groceries, and essential supplies have already been distributed. Further deliveries are underway, including 30 boxes of milk, along with sugar, cheese, oil, and other food items.
A significant part of this support is being directed to a children’s summer camp hosting around 300 displaced people, as well as to private homes that have generously opened their doors to affected families.
This initiative would not have been possible without the generous donations and continued support of our beloved Gibraltar community. Thank you for your solidarity and compassion during this difficult time.
The Strait of Gibraltar Association Trust remains committed to supporting vulnerable communities and standing in solidarity with those affected by this natural disaster.

The Strait of Gibraltar Association is delighted to announce the arrival of a generous donation of football kits, kindly provided by the Gibraltar Football Association (GFA).
This wonderful donation consists of approximately 20 bags containing football shirts, shorts and other sporting equipment in a variety of sizes. These items will help support local football clubs, youth teams and sports associations across northern Morocco, encouraging young people to participate in sport and promoting the positive values that football brings to our communities.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Gibraltar Football Association for its generosity, trust and commitment to making a difference beyond Gibraltar's borders. This donation is a fantastic example of how sport can build bridges, create opportunities and strengthen friendships across the Strait.
This initiative is being carried out in collaboration with Strait of Gibraltar Association, MarocAtlasGib4x4, and the Assilah Salsa Association, with the Trust proudly sponsoring the transportation of the donated sporting equipment from Gibraltar to Morocco.
Over the coming days, we will carefully sort and organise all the donated equipment before launching a distribution campaign to deliver it to football clubs, youth teams and sports associations in Tangier, Tetouan, Assilah and the surrounding areas, ensuring that it reaches those who will benefit from it the most.
A huge thank you once again to the Gibraltar Football Association for this outstanding contribution, to our trustee Kevin Parody "SALSA", for his amazing job and Daren Peter Day for bringing them over to Morocco alongside Salsa, and to everyone involved in making this initiative possible.
Together, we continue to build friendships, create opportunities and make a positive difference through the universal language of sport. ⚽🇬🇮🤝🇲🇦
